Park Planet lore and theories

Checked ·Unofficial fan guide·Sources & method

Confirmed so far

Park Planet is a theme park in the clouds that Orville Park built for his daughter Olivia; its mascot, Gwen, is sold as thousands of androids. The biggest open question after Episode 2: is Frankie's Gwen the original? Andi thinks so — the show hasn't confirmed it.

The world, as shown on screen

Park Planet and the Park family

Orville Park unveils Park Planet on Olivia's birthday, promising that everyone who visits will be under her “watchful care” and that the park can make up for something in her past. By the present day Olivia is old and bedridden in the tower, tended by robots, still answerable to a board — and still obsessed with Gwen.

The slums below

Beneath the floating park lies a polluted sea and poor neighbourhoods that live off its scrap. Park Planet dumps garbage into the ocean; scrappers like Sparky's crew haul it back to be melted into new merchandise. Park workers are resented below as “crownies”.

Gwen droids

Guinevere is mass-produced in many personas. Park adverts claim each unit learns from its guests so that it never forgets them. Standard Gwens are not supposed to be capable of violence — which is exactly why Frankie's Gwen is such a problem.

The tower's guardians

Olivia keeps two giant robots. One, Sir Arthur, is sent after Gwen in the pilot and destroyed; the second has not acted yet.

Theories (clearly labelled)

Is this Gwen the original Guinevere?

Strongly hinted, not confirmed
  • Andi says every Gwen shares one mould, but this unit acts far beyond them — so it may be the mould itself (Episode 2).
  • Neither Frankie nor Andi recognises the model; Andi calls it old and unusual (Pilot).
  • Olivia, who kept the first Gwen, reacts to the news of her return personally and sends her own robots, not park security (Pilot).

Did Frankie and Andi meet this same Gwen as kids?

Open question
  • After the repair halo reboots her, Gwen sees them as children and says it is nice to see them again (Pilot).
  • Andi asks her directly on the roof; Gwen doesn't answer (Episode 2).

What is Patience really after?

Fan theory
  • She tells Olivia she will handle the search, then mocks her as soon as she leaves (Episode 2).
  • She steers Olivia toward a board meeting — the same board Olivia once fought with, in Gwen's memory.

What is making people below the park sick?

Fan theory
  • A man in the slums coughs up blue blood and collapses (Pilot).
  • Andi straps on a gas mask, and Park Planet dumps its garbage into the ocean below (Pilot).
  • Gwen's own fluids are blue (Episode 2).

Who is the 'redacted engineer'?

Fan theory
  • Gwen's file on Andi says she worked with a redacted engineer before being fired (Episode 2).
  • Andi's boss Ajay is mentioned in both episodes, including hiding medication in the club's bathroom.

Evidence lines describe what is on screen; the questions are our own framing. Nothing here is confirmed by GLITCH unless it says so.
