The mascot
Orville Park built Park Planet as a birthday present for his daughter Olivia, and Guinevere became its face: a fairy-tale princess sold as plushies, costumes and whole lines of android performers. A park advert in the pilot claims that every Gwen unit learns from the guests it meets so that it never forgets them.
The Gwen in the tower
The pilot opens with a Gwen kept in Olivia's tower, where the young Olivia repeatedly opens her up to “fix” her. On the day the park is unveiled, Gwen throws herself off the balcony. Decades later, an elderly Olivia learns traces of Gwen have turned up and swears she will “do better this time”.
Why this Gwen is different
- Frankie and Andi don't recognise her model; Andi calls the design old and unusual.
- She screams to warn them of danger — something Gwens are not programmed to do.
- She is violent when cornered: she destroys Sir Arthur in the pilot and kills a park officer in Episode 2.
- She hallucinates people as Orville and Olivia and panics when she is wired to a bench.
- She grows blue tentacles and attaches a severed prosthetic arm to her own body.
On the roof at the end of Episode 2, Andi puts it together: every Gwen is built from the same mould, but this one acts far beyond them, so she may be the mould itself. Gwen doesn't answer — she just leans on Andi's shoulder.
Gwen and her “knights”
As children, Frankie and Andi met a Gwen in the park, and Frankie fixed its twitching finger. After the repair halo reboots her, this Gwen sees them as those two children and says it is nice to see them again. Whether she truly remembers them is one of the show's central questions — and the title suggests who her knights are.

Not as far as the show has revealed. She protects Frankie and Andi, but she is glitching, sees people as figures from her past and has killed when cornered — which standard Gwens are not built to do.
Is Gwen the original Guinevere?
Andi believes so at the end of Episode 2, because this unit acts far beyond what any standard Gwen can. The show has not confirmed it yet.
Why does Gwen talk in quotes?
Her speech seems limited to canned lines from her old movies and holo-TV shows, though Andi notes she clearly understands and responds to what people say.
